Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum

I knew Target was cool, but I didn't know they were this cool.

Dexter

Netflix really needs to get their shit together. They say that they have all five seasons of Dexter, but it is all lies! I just finished season 2 on instant watch and desperately want to watch season 3. Maybe it's good that I don't have it because I need to finish packing. Tomorrow will be the last time I will be in this apartment. I am sad we have to move because I really like this place, it has a lot of light. Plus, we have a HUGE bathroom!

Crystal Wagner

Amazing! Check out her WEBSITE

Her recent installation, Tropic, blew me away. I love her color choices, and the how she cut the paper and overlapped it creating a new depth to the piece. Just, wow!

Pride

Today was my first time at the Gay Pride Parade. It was fun but some people got really pushing and rude which sucked but it wasn't enough to ruin the fun afternoon. Surprisingly, there were only four Lady Gaga songs played today (no repeats either). It was a good day all in all. That is until a couple hours ago. They say bad things come in three, that is if you believe in that kind of thing which I do. So I am sitting around waiting for the last thing to happen. I am really bummed though one of my favorite shirts that I thought I had lost I found yesterday and today I ruined it in the dryer. In retrospect to my "bad" things that happened today I am very luck that that was all that happened. My friends and family are all safe and in good health, what more could I want?

Anyways, I started watching Dexter on Netflix. I love it but it is a terrible show for me to watch because he is constantly eating or talking about food and that just makes me want to eat. In one episode he was eating a Little Debbie Oatmeal Cream Pie and after that I got the sudden urge to have one. I finally got my hands on a box and man, it was delicious! I hadn't had one since I was a little kid!

I bought the new Bon Iver album today. I have yet to listen to it, but I'm sure it's amazing! It will be a great thing to listen to while packing up the apartment.

punk rawk show

gesundheit

Before I moved to Chicago for school I lived in a small town in Indiana. My sister and I had many animals growing up and at one point we adopted a rabbit. Bunny was great! I know, lame name but I was five. He was everything a rabbit should be: calm, cute and cuddly! If you tried to hand me Bunny today I would run in terror as if you were trying to hand me the Killer Rabbit of Caerbannoge. You see I have become allergic to rabbits now, which I find hilarious! Because there is nothing funnier to me than when my face blows up like a balloon and I can't breath.

First Beach Day

So I was talking to my roommate about how the hotter the weather gets the more confident I am in wearing less clothes. And since I don't have a job or school at the time I have WAY TOO MUCH time on my hands I decided to make this. Enjoy.

Hoobastanks here! No?....Iron & Wine!

There was a free Iron & Wine concert in Millenium Park, which was not as relaxing as I was hoping it would be. It was a free concert so I can't really complain. Sam did play one of my favorite songs, My Lady's House, and it beautiful. It was so different from the album version, which I love when artists mix it up so it's not like just listening to the album at home. I was glad I was able to sneak past the security guard to get closer.

suuuuuuuuuuun-day

Today I finished reading Bossypants. I laughed, I cried, I peed my pants a little. Alright, you caught me. I didn't cry. I was definitely inspired by Mrs. Fey. Some of my favorite lines:

"Do your thing and don't care if they like it" (Pg. 145).

"'Is this person in between me and what I want to do?' If the answer is no, ignore it and move on. Your energy is better used doing your work and outpacing people that way. Then, when you're in charge, don't hire the people who were jerky to you" (Pg. 144).

"Photoshop is just like makeup. When it's done well it looks great, and when it's overdone you look like a crazy asshole" (Pg. 158).

"And when she one day turns on me and calls me a Bitch in front of Hollister, Give me the strength, Lord, to yank her directly into a cab in front of her friends, For I will not have that Shit. I will not have it" (Pg 263).

"THERE ARE NO MISTAKES, only opportunities" (Pg. 85).

I could include many, many, MANY more quotes but I want you to read it. So do it now or you will die...someday.

Justin Santora

Since graduating I haven't been able to do any printing. At first it was nice to have a break from constantly having to churn out work at a rapid pace. But now, I am starting to go crazy. I am now on the hunt of finding a new place to print. In the meantime I have been drawing inspiration from other printers and I am in love with Justin Santora's work!
